==History==

Glameow first appeared in ''[[DP001|Following A Maiden's Voyage!]]'' and appears to be the family's pet. However, when Johanna was younger, Glameow was used in many [[Pokémon Contest]]s, having helped her to win the [[Grand Festival]] and become a [[Top Coordinator]]. It is seen in many of the pictures at {{an|Dawn}}'s house competing in Contests alongside Johanna and accepting Contest trophies. It is also seen with Johanna when she watches Dawn compete in Contests.

In a flashback in ''[[DP095|Battling the Generation Gap!]]'', Glameow was revealed to have lost a battle against [[Lila]]'s {{p|Delcatty}} by points.

In ''[[DP138|Strategy Begins at Home!]]'', Glameow battled alongside {{p|Umbreon}} against [[Dawn's Piplup]] and {{TP|Dawn|Pachirisu}} in a [[Double Battle|two-on-two]] [[Contest Battle]]. Johanna's Pokémon eventually won the match.

In ''[[DP141|Challenging a Towering Figure!]]'', Glameow and Umbreon briefly performed at the beginning of the [[Festival Battle Challenge]], much to the delight of the attendees.

In ''[[DP167|Teaching the Student Teacher!]]'', Glameow assisted its owner with teaching at a Trainer's School.

Glameow appeared alongside Johanna during the ending credits of ''[[M13|Zoroark: Master of Illusions]]''.

==Personality and characteristics==

Later in ''[[DP138|Strategy Begins at Home!]]'', Glameow, along with Johanna's Umbreon, acted very distant with [[Dawn's Piplup]], not accepting the new member of its family. Johanna later mentioned that it and Umbreon are usually very picky eaters, while they ate the food that {{an|Brock}} made. This reflects their initial response to meeting Piplup, not being too accepting of the new.

Glameow first appeared as a cameo in ''[[PS351|Perturbed by Pachirisu]]'', when {{adv|Platinum|Lady Berlitz}} was watching recordings of past {{pkmn|Super Contest}}s featuring Johanna and Glameow.

 

Glameow also appeared in ''[[PS395|Stopping Sableye]]'', ''[[PS400|Bogging Down Quagsire]]'', and ''[[PS403|Cleaning Up Grimer]]'' as a pet Pokémon in {{adv|Diamond}}'s house.
