Blurb

A pair of broken water faucets at Cerise Lab prompts Professor Cerise to call Plusle and Minun All Service for help. Two workers, Devi and Multa, arrive. And they’re not simply plumbers—they fix all sorts of things and even care for Pokémon, too! But when Devi takes a hard fall, Multa has to temporarily take over the business, setting her in a panic. Of course, Ash and Goh want to help her out! Call after call comes in for their expertise, and even Team Rocket helps out in the end. Along the way, Multa gains confidence, and both Plusle and Minun end up cheering her on!

Plot

When faucets in Cerise Laboratory's bathroom spring serious leaks, Professor Cerise calls a pair of handymen, Devi and Multa, to fix the problem. They introduce themselves as the "Plusle and Minun All Service", named after their company mascot Pokémon. The leaks are quickly fixed, but as Devi and Multa leave, Devi trips on the stairs at the laboratory's entrance. Multa tries to help, but Devi is still seriously hurt, and he's taken to a hospital to recover. While Multa's Plusle remains its happy and cheerful self, Devi's Minun is angry at Multa. When Devi receives a call for a new job, Ash and Goh offer to help Multa out. After a bit of hesitation, she accepts their help.

Their first job together is brushing a rich man's herd of Tauros. After successfully carrying it out, they next head to Rock Tunnel to rescue another Trainer's Tauros from being lost in the darkness. Although Grookey's actions cause the Tauros to rampage, he is still happily reunited with his Trainer. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is at a park, trying to think of a plan to steal the rich man's Tauros herd. While thinking of it, Jessie goes to a drinking fountain to get a drink, but the fountain accidentally breaks and springs a big leak. Meowth, noticing Devi speaking about her handyman job nearby, calls on her help. She gets nervous, but manages to calm herself down before attacking the problem. With Ash and Goh's help, she's able to fix the fountain and stop the leak. Despite her good work, however, Minun still remains grumpy towards her. The rich man then calls again, requesting for them to come look after his Tauros in an hour. Multa hands the disguised Team Rocket a leaflet about her company before leaving. Looking at it, Jessie gets an idea on how to steal the Tauros.

When Multa, Ash, and Goh arrive at the rich man's house an hour later, they're surprised to find out that he just handed his Tauros to another group of handymen. Following the description they receive, they locate Team Rocket, disguised as handymen themselves. When they start acting suspiciously, they remove their disguises and perform their motto, before making a run for it. However, in their rush, they end up running over some unstable planks placed on top of an uncovered manhole, causing Meowth and the bag containing the Tauros to fall into it. Some of the Tauros emerge from their Poké Balls and fall on Meowth, leaving him trapped.

After taking a deep breath to calm herself, Multa takes charge of the rescue, and has Ash and Goh lower a winch cable from her car into the manhole. After asking James to manage the winch, she then descends into the hole herself and places a harness around a Tauros, whom James pulls up with the winch. The process is repeated for each Tauros, until only one is left. In the middle of lifting him, however, the winch runs out of battery power, causing the Tauros to fall downwards again and knock into Multa and Meowth, leaving them hanging for dear life from Tauros's harness. Minun, seeing Multa's predicament, finally rejoins Plusle in cheering for her, before the two Cheering Pokémon rush up to the car to recharge the battery. Their power is not enough, however, so Ash has Pikachu use Thunderbolt on them, powering up their Discharge enough to recharge the battery, reactivating the winch and pulling Multa, Meowth, and the last Tauros to safety. Team Rocket decides to cut their losses and just leave, but the Tauros are not that quick to forgive them, and proceed to send them blasting off with a series of powerful kicks.

That evening, Multa, Ash, and Goh visit Devi at the hospital, telling him of how well the day went. Devi is happy to hear of Multa's leadership skills, and is looking forward to getting to work with her again.
