Trivia
- It was announced on May 28, 2023 that Irida would be added to the Trainer Lodge in July 2023, making her the first character to have her addition to the Trainer Lodge announced more than a month in advance.
- All versions of Irida use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Adaman, Akari, and Rei.
- In one of Irida's Pokémon Center conversations, she says she's heard about Alola's island kahunas and mistakenly assumes they're Pokémon. This is a joke that was lost in translation, as the Japanese name for island kahuna (しまキング Island King or しまクイーン Island Queen) is very similar to the Japanese name for noble Pokémon (キング・クイーン Kings and Queens).
- In Irida's first friendship story, she and the player get to see three different locations in virtual reality, represented by other characters' sync move mindscapes:
- The Bell Tower, as seen in Sygna Suit Morty's mindscape.
- The entrance to Victory Road in Unova, as seen in Nate's mindscape.
- The Snowpoint Gym, as seen in Candice's mindscape.
Origin
Irida's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Glaceon is Irida's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Glaceon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
Flareon is another Pokémon Irida uses in the core series games. Flareon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
