The Iceberg Zone (Japanese: アイスゾーン Ice Zone) is the third zone the player arrives at in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. It is a frosty glacier area inhabited by many Ice-type Pokémon and one of three zones that does not directly connect to the Meeting Center. The leader of this zone is Empoleon.

Story

Spoiler warning: this article may contain major plot or ending details.

Immediately after the events at the Beach Zone, Lapras carries the player on her back to the Iceberg Zone where Empoleon is hiding. Once there, the guard to Empoleon's gate, Piloswine, informs them that Empoleon has locked himself inside his lair and only Mamoswine can break the lock, but before escaping to his lair, Empoleon froze Mamoswine on the other side of a lake. After the player helps Kirlia decorate the Ice Tree, Glalie appears and informs the player that his friend Froslass can freeze the lake but has run away and he asks the player to help build him an igloo to bring her back. Once the igloo is complete, Glalie asks the player to go down the chairlift to go and get Froslass. First, the player must challenge Prinplup to a battle, so the player can then use the chairlift. Once Prinplup is beaten, the player goes down the chairlift. At the bottom of the chairlift is Froslass, who refuses to go to the igloo, but then decides that she would go to see Glalie if the player battles her and wins. Once Froslass is beaten, she goes to Glalie's igloos.

Once she is retrieved, the player asks her to freeze the lake and she gladly freezes the lake making Mamoswine accessible. After freeing him from his icy prison, Mamoswine understands the situation and opens the gate allowing access to Empoleon. Empoleon doesn't let the player play his attraction, Empoleon's Snow Slide, until Piplup suddenly appears to make him change his mind, and Empoleon challenges the player to his attraction. Once it is completed, Empoleon befriends the player and presents them with yet another Prism shard. Piplup and the player then return to the Meeting Place.

In the last cutscene, the player waves out of the hot air balloon, with Mamoswine, Glalie, Froslass, Prinplup and two Spheal congratulating them.

  Spoilers end here.

Suicune sliding down Empoleon's Snow Slide

In Empoleon's Snow Slide (Japanese: エンペルトのスノースライダー Emperte's Snow Slider), players must guide the Pokémon around a course of snow, tilting the Wii remote to turn. There are speed boosts which may help the player, but they can also make it difficult to get around corners. The Pokémon will slow down if it hits a wall or an obstacle. The fastest Pokémon in this attraction is Suicune.
