Quite expectedly, Ice and Ground, the two best attacking types, cover one another very well, what makes Mamoswine's type combination very useful for offensive sets. Ice and Electric are also knowen to creat a good combination, also knowen as "BoltBeam" (Thunderbolt and Ice Beam), that only Magnezone, Lanturn (with Volt Absorb) and Shedinja resists.
