'''Route 118''' (Japanese: '''１１８ばんどうろ''' ''Route 118'') is a route in central [[Hoenn]], connecting [[Mauville City]], {{rt|119|Hoenn}}, and {{rt|123|Hoenn}}.

In {{g|Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}}, the first time the player attempts to enter the grassy portion of the route from the eastern beach, {{Steven}} will approach the player, followed by {{p|Latios}}{{sup/6|AS}}/{{p|Latias}}{{sup/6|OR}} appearing and asking for help. The [[Eon duo|Eon Pokémon]] will then take the player to [[Southern Island]].

From Mauville, the route is straightforward, traveling directly east-west between the city limits and the west bank of the river. The western half of this path is composed of fields while the eastern portion is a sandy beach.

When Trainers first encounter the river, it is impassable, as they are often lacking {{HM|03|Surf}} and the {{badge|Balance}} at this point. After acquiring the move and the Badge, Trainers can cross the river to reach the eastern half.

 

The short river path runs directly east-west and contains no Trainers, leaving [[wild Pokémon]] as the only concern.

Route 118 comes ashore on another beach containing a pair of Fishermen. [[Gabby and Ty]] are often found in the area as well, looking for up-and-coming Pokémon Trainers to battle and interview.

Heading north from the intersection, a four-way intersection allows access to the upper areas that overlook the main path of Route 118. To the west is another Trainer, a small area of grass, and a [[soft soil]] patch containing two [[Sitrus Berry]] plants. To the east is yet another grass patch and a {{DL|Potion|Hyper Potion}}. Continuing north, the path becomes Route 119.

* The music changes depending on whether the player is in the route's eastern half where the music is the same as {{rt|119|Hoenn}}, or the western half which shares its music with [[Route]]s {{rtn|110|Hoenn}}, {{rtn|111|Hoenn}}, {{rtn|112|Hoenn}}, {{rtn|114|Hoenn}}, and {{rtn|117|Hoenn}}.

* In {{game|Ruby and Sapphire|s}}, a glitch allowed players to make Aroma Lady Rose walk over the ledge to start a battle. This was corrected in the Spanish versions of Ruby and Sapphire. In {{game|Emerald}}, she was moved to be part of a potential Double Battle, so this is no longer possible.
