He was the composer of much the [[List of Japanese opening themes|opening theme]] and [[List of Japanese ending themes|ending theme]] songs used in the [[Pokémon anime]] from 1997 to 2019, and he was also the president of [[Creatures, Inc.]] until April 2023.


Formerly of [[Nintendo]], he also composed the music of [[wp:Metroid|Metroid]], as well as developing the [[wp:Game Boy Camera|Game Boy Camera]] and the [[wp:Game Boy Printer|Game Boy Printer]].
