They were grateful to the Hippie and continued along their way. He also played for [[Team Rocket]] but they were less than impressed.

When Ash and the others discovered that the town's food wasn't growing because a {{p|Snorlax}} was blocking the water, they immediately ran to Hippie. He revealed that the Snorlax was an old friend of his. After hearing of the situation in the nearby town, Hippie played his Poké Flute, and Snorlax awakened.
