Heavy Metal (Japanese: ヘヴィメタル Heavy Metal) is an Ability introduced in Generation V.

Effect

In battle

Doubles the weight of the Pokémon with this Ability.

Autotomize is applied before other weight-modifying effects, including Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal is the only effect that can cause a Pokémon's weight to exceed 999.9 kg.

This has no effect on the Heavy Ball, which uses the Pokémon's species' weight rather than its current weight.

Outside of battle

Heavy Metal has no effect outside of battle.
