Gurkinn's students are characters in the Pokémon Adventures manga. They are a trio of brothers that were chosen by Gurkinn to become Mega Evolution Successors. Individually, their names are Peche (Japanese: ペーシュ Peche), Ile (Japanese: イーレ Ile), and Or (Japanese: オー Or).

History

Peche, Ile, and Or debuted in Connecting with Gardevoir. They were seen in a flashback where they attended Korrina's Mega Evolution succession ceremony. Once Korrina was named a Successor, Gurkinn and his students finished the ceremony by Mega Evolving their Pokémon.

In Pinsir Glares, Peche called Blaine to inform him that Team Flare had begun moving to the Pokémon Village.

  • The brothers are designed and named to resemble various characters from Japanese folklore.
    • Peche is named after Momotarō. He wears a headband similar to how Momotarō is depicted in various media.
    • Ile is named after Urashima Tarō. He wears his hair in a ponytail, similar to how Urashima Tarō is depicted in various media.
    • Or is named after Kintarō. Kintarō is typically portrayed with a bowlcut hairstyle, similar to Or's.
