However, {{p|Butterfree}} are capable of using {{m|Supersonic|sound waves}} in the games, possibly referencing the Trainer class.

In ''[[BW083|Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 1]]'' and ''[[BW084|Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 2]]'', a Guitarist named [[Billy Jo]] appeared as a member of [[Roxie]]'s rock band "{{p|Koffing}} and the Toxics".

In ''[[XY115|Battling at Full Volume!]]'', a Guitarist named {{OBP|Jimmy|XY115}} came to the camp of {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} with the intent of testing the strength of his {{p|Pikachu}}, Spike, against [[Ash's Pikachu]]. Unbeknownst to him, however, the trainer he battled was {{an|Serena}}, who disguised herself as Ash to stand in for him after he had fallen ill.

A Guitarist briefly appears at the {{Gdis|Battle Frontier|IV}} in the {{chap|Platinum}} when [[Looker]] was searching for {{adv|Platinum}}.
