The '''Grass type''' is one of the nine {{TCG|Elemental types|TCG elemental types}}.  It is represented by the color green.
The '''Grass type''' (Japanese: '''{{tt|草|くさ}}''' ''Grass'') is one of the eleven {{TCG|Type|TCG types}}.  It is represented by the color green, and symbolized by a cordate-shaped leaf.

The Grass type contains all {{t|Poison}}, {{t|Bug}}, and {{t|Grass}} Pokémon found in the Game Boy games. For example, {{p|Muk}}, {{p|Beedrill}}, and {{p|Sceptile}} are all Grass types in the TCG. However, if the Pokémon is a {{type2|Poison}} in the games, starting with {{TCG|Diamond & Pearl}}, they are depicted as {{ct|Psychic}}.
The Grass type contains most {{t|Grass}}- and {{type|Bug}} Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, {{p|Sceptile}} and {{p|Beedrill}} are both Grass types in the TCG.

Prior to the {{TCG|Diamond & Pearl}} set, the Grass type also contained all {{type|Poison}} Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, {{p|Muk}} and {{p|Weezing}} were Grass types in the TCG. However, {{type|Poison}} Pokémon are now {{TCG|Psychic}} type cards.
The corresponding {{DL|Energy card (TCG)|Basic Energy}} card is {{TCG|Grass Energy}}.
