Granbull (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

* Granbull and its {{p|Snubbull|pre-evolution}} share their {{pkmn|category}} with {{p|Clefairy}} and {{p|Clefable}}. They are all known as the Fairy Pokémon.

* As the Ability {{a|Quick Feet}} did not exist until [[Generation IV]], a Snubbull with either {{a|Intimidate}} or {{a|Run Away}} will always evolve into a Granbull with Intimidate in [[Generation III]] games.<!--If a Granbull with Intimidate that has second Ability flag is transferred to the Generation VI games, its Ability will become Quick Feet?--> This means that in Generation III, Granbull is the only Pokémon with an Ability that evolves from a Pokémon with one of two possible Abilities that shares to Granbull's Ability.

Granbull is based on a {{wp|bulldog}}. Its {{pkmn|category}}, [[Fairy (Egg Group)|Egg Group]] and, as of [[Generation VI]], its {{t|Fairy|type}} may reference the {{wp|Cù-sìth}}, a mythological creature in {{wp|Celtic mythology}} whose name literally translates to "dog fairy". Granbull's current typing and appearance also may reference {{wp|goblin}}s, {{wp|orc}}s, or other mythical races of grotesque appearance.
