Release information

This card was included in the EX Dragon Frontiers expansion, first released in the Japanese Imprison! Gardevoir ex Constructed Standard Deck. In Japan, it was reprinted as a Jumbo Unnumbered Promotional card, and was one of two cards given to those who purchased a ticket to Pokémon Jungle Tours ~The Legend of Diamond & Pearl~ venues, held at several locations in Japan. Ticket holders were given either this card or a Tyranitar ex δ card at random, in addition to an Original Poké Ball Holder upon admission. The holder was designed to hold an interactive Poké Ball rented to visitors for the duration of their experience, which was could be used to "capture" Pokémon found at the various attractions present at each venue. Visitors could then redeem stickers of the Pokémon they had "captured" at the end of their experience. This print features a Black Star Promo symbol in place of the expansion symbol and collection number.

The Pokémon Jungle Tours were held at the following locations:

  • Port Messe Nagoya, Nagoya from July 20 to 23, 2006.
  • Kyocera Dome Osaka, Osaka from August 3 to 7, 2006.
  • Pacifico Yokohama, Minato Mirai 21, Yokohama from August 11 to 20, 2006.
  • Makuhari Messe, Chiba from August 29 to September 3, 2006.

The EX Dragon Frontiers print was rereleased in the Celebrations expansion's Classic Collection for the Pokémon 25th Anniversary. This print features the 25th Anniversary logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. In Japan, it was reprinted as part of the Promo Card Pack 25th Anniversary Edition with a red and gold "25th" logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork and lacks the unique ID number. Both prints are Confetti Holofoil and have etching similar to Full Art cards.

Trivia

The card text on the bottom right of the Japanese Jumbo card border reads: ""Pokémon Jungle Tours" special jumbo card".

Origin

Imprison is a move in the Pokémon games that Gardevoir can learn. Flame Ball's Japanese name is that of Flame Orb, a held item later introduced in the Generation IV Pokémon games.
