Gardevoir (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Gardevoir appears to be based on a {{wp|ballet dancer}}, particularly a {{wp|principal dancer}} due to its apparent maturity, and the concept of {{wp|empathy}}. The long, white frills surrounding its body resemble a floor-length {{wp|dress}}, and its thin, pointed legs make it appear as if it is standing {{wp|pointe technique|en pointe}} and wearing green {{wp|tights}}. Its hair appears to be styled into a {{wp|bob cut}}. Its red horns resemble half of a {{wp|heart shape|heart}} and seem to pierce its chest, implying that its ability to sense emotions is even stronger than its pre-evolutions due to them being connected directly to its actual {{wp|heart}}.

Its protective nature over its [[Pokémon Trainer|Trainer]] and {{t|Fairy}} type suggest that it is also inspired by {{wp|guardian angel}}s. Its white, flowing body may also be based on {{wp|ghost}}s or {{wp|spirit}}s such as a {{wp|White Lady}}. Its large head, minimal facial features, and frail physique are similar to ''anesama ningyou'', a style of traditional Japanese {{wp|paper doll}}.
