The '''kami trio''' is a collective term to refer to the all-male [[Legendary trio|trio]] of {{p|Tornadus}}, {{p|Thundurus}}, and {{p|Landorus}}. They are based on kami in Japanese myth - {{wp|Fūjin}}, the kami of wind, {{wp|Raijin}}, the kami of thunder, and {{wp|Inari (mythology)|Inari}}, the kami of fertility, respectively.

They are based on kami in Japanese myth - {{wp|Fūjin}}, the kami of wind, {{wp|Raijin}}, the kami of thunder, and {{wp|Inari (mythology)|Inari}}, the kami of fertility, respectively. Likewise they may also be thought of as representing the different domains of world: Landorus represents the land, Tornadus the heavens and Thundurus a transitional state between the two (lightning).

Tornadus (exclusive to {{game3|Black and White|Black|s}}) and Thundurus (exclusive to {{game3|Black and White|White|s}}) will start {{pkmn2|roaming}} around [[Unova]] after the {{player}} listens to the story of an old woman on {{rt|7|Unova}}. ==Myths==

On visiting the Abundant Shrine with both Tornadus & Thundurus in the party, the player will cross a group of three children arguing just before the shrine. They collectively tell the a folktale of how "Great Landorus" punished the two other legendary pokemon for wreaking massive destruction across the land with their ferocious thunderstorms & fierce gales. As such, the thankful inhabitants of the land - saved from the danger posed by the Bolt Strike & Cyclone pokemon - constructed a shrine in honour of Landorus.

*Each member of the trio bears features with strong resemblance to {{wp|magatama}}; some of the spots that cover their bodies are shaped like them, as are their tails - a bulbous head with a thinning offshoot, most prominent in Tornadus. Similarly, magatama are thought to represent the human spirit & the Kami trio all possess fairly anthropomorphic bodies from the waist up.
