Fletchling (Pokémon): Difference between revisions

Fletchling are small, avian Pokémon similar in appearance to robins. They have a reddish-orange head with a triangular yellow mark on the back of each eye. Their body and wings are gray, and there are white tips on the wings. They have long, black tail with a white 'v'-shaped marking near the tip. The tail ends in two points, and has two feathers sticking out at the base, giving the impression of the fletching on the end of an arrow. Their legs, beak, and eyes are black. The legs are thin and spindly, with two toes facing forward and one pointing backward on each foot.

Fletchling are said to be very friendly and are well known for their beautiful songs. They communicate by using chirps and moving their tail-feathers to signal one another. In spite of their typically peaceful disposition, they are relentless in battle and very territorial, attacking perceived threats mercilessly. Its body is warm, and doubles in temperature when it is excited.

{{Ash}}'s Fletchling debuted in ''[[XY003|A Battle of Aerial Mobility!]]''. It was first shown stealing a berry {{an|Bonnie}} was giving to a wild {{TP|Clemont|Dedenne}}. He used his {{AP|Froakie}} to battle it several times, until Ash finally succeeded in catching it later. Fletchling evolved into a {{p|Fletchinder}} in ''[[XY036|Battles in the Sky!]]''. It later evolved into a {{AP|Talonflame}} in ''[[XY086|A Legendary Photo Op!]]''.

[[Clarice]] has a Fletchling, which debuted in ''[[XY060|A Showcase Debut!]]''; it was seen participating in the [[Coumarine City]] [[Pokémon Showcase]]. Clarice's Fletchling later reappeared in ''[[XY109|Master Class Choices!]]'', where it competed alongside its Trainer in the [[Fleurrh City]] Pokémon Showcase. It appeared again in ''[[XY112|Master Class Is in Session!]]'' and ''[[XY113|Performing a Pathway to the Future!]]'', where it competed alongside its Trainer in the {{ci|Gloire}} Master Class Showcase.

Multiple Fletchling appeared in ''[[XY125|A League of His Own!]]'', where they were released from the inside of a giant {{ball|Poké}}, as part of the opening ceremony for the [[Lumiose Conference]].

Multiple Fletchling appeared in ''[[M19|Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel]]'', where they were seen as several of the Pokémon residing at [[Nebel Plateau]]. One Fletchling alerted the group to an {{p|Amaura}} that had been injured during an attack by a [[Pokémon poacher]].

Multiple Fletchling appeared in ''[[SM046|Deceiving Appearances!]]''. They were among the Pokémon seen at [[Aether Paradise]]. Some of them appeared again in [[SM096]].

Two Trainers' Fletchling appeared in [[SM090]], where they joined the rest of Alola in showering {{DL|Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime|Necrozma}} with light so it could return to its {{DL|List of Pokémon with form differences|Necrozma|true form}}.

{{adv|Y}} owns a Fletchling named Fletchy, which first appeared in ''[[PAXY01|An X-cuse to Come Out and Play]]''. She was seen with her Trainer as Y tried convincing {{adv|X}} to get out of his house. She later evolved during a battle against several {{tc|Sky Trainer}}s that were controlled by [[Celosia]]'s {{p|Aegislash}}.

A Fletchling appeared in ''[[PAXY33|Chesnaught Protects]]'' as a Pokémon in the [[Pokémon Village]].

Fletchling appears as a [[Poké Ball]] summon. It will jump around and {{m|peck}} opponents. It can fly to reach nearby platforms or come back to the stage if needed.

Fletchling will return as a Pokémon summoned from the {{ball|Poké}}.
