During the flood caused by {{p|Kyogre}}, Ruby, in a fit of anger (caused by an argument he had with {{adv|Sapphire}}), lashed out at Mimi and kicked it out of his team for losing a contest (which turned out to be a ruse), and Mimi swam away in tears. When Ruby was attacked by [[Maxie]] and [[Archie]] during the final battle she returned in order to help Ruby but in the process, was thrown aside and stomped upon, being called a pathetic, vile excuse for a Pokémon that didn't even deserve to exist. After Ruby apologized for his actions and declared it had inner beauty, which is what counts in his eyes, he attached the Ultra Rank Ribbon the Feebas never got to keep, and it evolved into {{p|Milotic}}.
