 '''Faraway Island''' (Japanese: '''さいはてのことう''' ''Furthest-away Island'') is an island located far away from [[Hoenn]]. Its location appears on an [[Old Sea Map]], and [[Mr. Briney|Captain Briney]] returns a favor by the ship in [[Lilycove City]] to sail to this far-off isle.
-On the island is a sign with old, fading writing dated either September, October, November, or December 6. It seems to be a reference to [[Mr. Fuji]] and the creation of {{p|Mewtwo}}. It also ends in a signature of which only remains "ji" (for some reason, this was not included in international translations of the game). If this is true, this means that Fuji, for whatever reason, returned to Faraway Island after the Mewtwo project.  This island could also possibly be the South American area, a jungle in {{wp|Guyana}}, which was referenced in the [[Pokémon Mansion journals]].
