'''Event Pokémon''' or '''costumed Pokémon''' are special forms that have appeared during various events for a limited time in {{g|GO}}.

These forms are usually an otherwise-normal Pokémon with an event-relevant costume. Some Event Pokémon can potentially be {{GO|Shiny Pokémon|Shiny}} as well, or know event-exclusive [[move]]s. Some Event Pokémon can evolve, and will retain their costume after doing so. Since July 2021, event forms (except [[Clone]] Pokémon) have their own category in the [[Pokédex]] of Pokémon GO. Since Event Pokémon are unique to Pokémon GO, they cannot be transferred to {{LGPE}} and {{g|HOME}}. 

As of October 7, 2023, there are 78 Pokémon with event-exclusive forms, and there are 207 Event Pokémon in total. (This includes 197 Pokémon categorized in the Event Pokédex, 4 Clone Pokémon, 3 additional form variations for event-exclusive {{p|Pumpkaboo}}, and 3 additional form variations for event-exclusive {{p|Gourgeist}}.)
