Trivia
The dot-code data for the Expedition print of the card refers to this card as the Base Set card Energy Removal.
Origin
The original Energy Removal had no disadvantage to playing it, instantly removing any Energy card attached to the opponent's Pokémon. Often, a player could save these cards in their hand until the opponent had charged up their Active Pokémon to attack with full power, then decimate the Pokémon's Energy source with no trouble. With this card, however, a player must get lucky with coin flips.
