Trivia
Origin
Name origin
Electabuzz's name seems to be a combination of electric and buzz, possibly in a reference to the humming sound of electricity. Its Japanese name is likely a combination of electric and ぶんぶん bunbun, buzz.
Electabuzz was likely based on one of the Japanese oni who was a horned ogre who wore tiger-stripes and was sometimes depicted as a god of lightning and thunder.
