Debut Extreme Pokémon!

Eggseter (Japanese: ライズタウン Rise Town) is an anime-exclusive town located in Johto. The township is nestled in the Eggseter Valley located between Ecruteak City and Mahogany Town.

Trainers flock to the town to compete in its annual Extreme Pokémon Race. Ash competed in the race featured in Extreme Pokémon!, where he narrowly claimed victory over his rival Gary.

Eggseter is renowned for its clean air and open space. Many Pokémon Day Care Centers operate in the area, which raise Pokémon Eggs until they hatch, and then take care of the baby Pokémon. Mr. Shellby and his wife Kimie run the Shellby Ranch, and they gave Ash an Egg after he stopped Team Rocket from stealing baskets of their Eggs. Ash's Egg eventually hatched into a Phanpy.

Trivia

  • Its English name appears to be a play on the English city of Exeter.
