Release information

In Japan, this card was released as a SM-P Promotional cards, and is one of the five cards made as part of a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and the "Munch: A Retrospective" exhibition present at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum between October 27, 2018 and January 20, 2019. The illustration draws inspiration from Edvard Munch's The Scream, the 1910 version (tempera on cardboard) of which was displayed in Japan for the first time as part of the exhibition. Eevee was 1 of 3 cards customers could select to receive at participating Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores with the purchase of any 2 booster packs starting November 2, 2018. Each card was limited to 1 per person in a transaction and the Pokémon Center Online was specifically excluded from the promotion.

Trivia

When all five of the Munch collaboration cards are placed in collection number order, the Pokémon from the preceding card is featured as a silhouette in the background of the illustration — Psyduck is visible in the background of this card. The sequence continues on Pikachu.

Origin

The Scream attack is another reference to the basis of the card's inspiration. A silhouette of Psyduck is in the artwork. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Moon.
