EP117: Difference between revisions

Walking through a foggy forest, {{Ash}}, {{an|Misty}} and {{an|Brock}} are heading to [[New Bark Town]] to register for the [[Johto League]]. Ash notices a familiar tree branch and declares that they must be lost. Misty scolds Ash, and the two of them get into an argument which Brock is forced to break up. {{TP|Misty|Togepi}} senses something and promptly hops out of Misty's arms. {{AP|Pikachu}} follows after it, leading Ash and {{ashfr}} to also follow. The group are left startled after seeing a mysterious blue {{OBP|Pokémon|species}}, later revealed to be {{p|Suicune}}, on a formation in the middle of the lake. When Suicune noticed them, it runs away. Ash tries to follow it but falls off a steep edge, Pikachu and Togepi soon follow. Becoming alarmed by his disappearance, Misty and Brock go after Ash and also trip and fall. Making a small appearance, {{an|Jigglypuff}} walks by and seems to find it fun before sliding down the hill as well.

Meanwhile, {{TRT}} are also lost in the same fog-filled forest. They become hungry and decide to run, and soon find themselves out of the forest and staring at a large building. The trio are started by a [[horde]] of {{p|Fearow}} and rush inside what is actually a Pokémon Lab. A voice suddenly perks up, and the group soon find the source, [[Professor Elm]]. He is too busy looking through his microscope to realize the visitors are Team Rocket, and thinking it is [[Nurse Joy]], he tells them to check up on his {{p|Totodile}}. They encounter Professor Elm's Totodile shortly after talking with the Professor as it bites onto {{MTR}}'s tail and sprays a {{m|Water Gun}} at [[James]]'s face. Confirming bringing it to the [[Pokémon Center]] as she imposes as Nurse Joy, [[Jessie]] picks it up and they run out of the lab. Elm is none the wiser and thanks them, while still looking through his device.

Finally reaching New Bark Town, Ash becomes pumped to soon be entering the Johto League. With all his psyching up at that point, he starts to run off to be going to take on new challengers before Brock grabs him and tells him that he needs to be registering before he does anything of the sort. On the way of walking into New Bark Town, Misty makes a comment about Nurse Joy probably running the Pokémon Center in that area as well. Excited to see Nurse Joy, Brock tells Ash and Misty to head for the local Pokémon Center, but when they reach it, they are met by Nurse Joy's {{TP|Nurse Joy|Chansey}}. Chansey then presses a button after Brock speculates on Chansey not being Nurse Joy and a screen appears. A recording of Nurse Joy plays on the screen and says that she is with Professor Elm and will be back by 2:00. Noting the time on the clock, Misty directs Ash's attention to it where he states that it is 3:30. Ash and Misty decide to sit down as they wait, though Brock is furious and demands they go find her. However, when the three of them reach the laboratory, they see that there's police surrounding the premises where they see another familiar face, [[Officer Jenny]].

When Brock sees Officer Jenny, he offers her a bouquet of flowers. However, as usual, Misty pulls him back by his collar and tows him away. Afterward, Ash asks about what's been going on around the area, and that's when he, Brock and Misty rush inside; they see Nurse Joy scolding Professor Elm for being careless. Brock rushes up to her and holds her hands in his flirtatious state but is shoved away by Misty again. Ash and his friends learn about the stolen Totodile, who was supposed to be picked up a female {{pkmn|Trainer}} sometime. Ash and his friends also learn about [[Johto]]'s [[Starter Pokémon]] while Ash mentions that he is from [[Pallet Town]]. Being soon questioned about having met {{an|Professor Oak}}, Professor Elm falls in a long winded rant to Brock about his time as one of Oak's top students while Misty and Ash play with the {{p|Cyndaquil}} that Nurse Joy took from Elm.

After this, one of the police officers brings a plaster mold of Team Rocket's [[footprint]]s. [[Officer Jenny's Growlithe]] sniffs the mold and begins to tracks down Team Rocket and the Totodile. Team Rocket with the Totodile decide to take a break at a local park, and Jessie is furious as the Totodile has chomped down on her hair. Meowth goes to make a phone call to the {{an|Giovanni|boss}}, though Jessie smacks him away with the phone booth door and claims that he would be taking all the credit. While the two of them argue, James just walks past them and makes the phone call.

As Team Rocket squabble, Officer and the group arrive on the scene. Team Rocket recites their {{motto}} and comment that they can't return Totodile because it won't let go of Jessie's hair. Ash scolds the three of them for stealing a new Trainer's Pokémon. Team Rocket are unfazed and attempts to run away. Ash then sends out his {{AP|Bulbasaur}} and has it use {{m|Vine Whip}} to trip Team Rocket up. James has his {{TP|James|Weezing}} use {{m|Smokescreen}}, but [[Ash's Charizard]] blows the smog away. Bulbasaur manages to pull Totodile off Jessie's hair, and the recovered Pokémon lands in Ash's arms. As Growlithe goes in to apprehend the trio, Weezing's {{m|Sludge}} leaves it blinded. James uses the opportunity to call on {{TP|James|Victreebel}}, who promptly latches onto James's head. Jessie resorts to using her {{TP|Jessie|Lickitung}}. Ash sends out his {{AP|Squirtle}}, and its Water Gun hits Lickitung. Desperate to make a clean getaway, Jessie calls on her {{TP|Jessie|Arbok}}, and together with Team Rocket's other Pokémon, they attempt a group attack. Ash replies with his own group effort, Pikachu's {{m|Thunderbolt}}, Charizard's {{m|Flamethrower}}, Bulbasaur's {{m|Razor Leaf}} and Squirtle's Water Gun combine and send Team Rocket's Pokémon flying. To finish things off, Totodile sends Jessie, James and Meowth on their way with a Water Gun. Officer Jenny is dissappointed not to have made any arrests, but is grateful that Totodile is safe and sound.

Back with Professor Elm, Ash makes a call through to Professor Oak. Ash speaks briefly, before letting Elm talk to his former mentor. The two Professors get into deep conversation, but fortunately for Ash and his friends Nurse Joy arrives. She escorts the group to the Pokémon Center and officially registers Ash for the Johto League. Ash and his friends then leave New Bark Town, unaware of Jigglypuff, which follows after them.
