'''Dolan''' (Japanese: '''ダズ''' ''Daz'') is a [[character of the day]] who appeared in ''[[XY012|To Catch a Pokémon Smuggler!]]''. He is a [[Pokémon poacher|Pokémon smuggler]] who specializes in capturing and selling {{p|Vivillon}} to the highest bidder.

Dolan drove by with his {{p|Diggersby}}, on the run from [[Officer Jenny]] and her {{p|Manectric}}, with a stolen {{p|Scatterbug}} that he was planning to sell. However, while swerving, the cage accidentally fell down and Dolan drove off since he was still being chased. Later, {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} searched for Dolan with the help of Officer Jenny. Dolan returned to where the cage fell and found out that Scatterbug had evolved into {{p|Spewpa}}. Unbeknownst to him, the Spewpa was {{TP|Clemont|Chespin}} in disguise. He eventually found out sometime after driving off as the disguise fell off.

The group tracked Dolan down to an abandoned building, and everyone except for Ash got trapped in a net that was set. After Dolan threatened to also sell Chespin, Ash called on his {{AP|Froakie}} to battle him, but it was weakened by Diggersby. Spewpa took over and was able to defeat Diggersby while evolving into Vivillon. Dolan tried to catch this Vivillon with a net, but Officer Jenny arrested him. Dolan was about to fight back, but Vivillon's scales made him calm, and he got dragged away by Officer Jenny.

When {{Ash}} battled Dolan to rescue {{TP|Clemont|Chespin}} and the {{p|Spewpa}}, it overpowered {{AP|Froakie}} despite having the [[type]] disadvantage. Diggersby was defeated after the Spewpa that had escaped evolved into {{p|Vivillon}} and {{status|paralysis|paralyzed}} it with {{m|Stun Spore}}.
