This card was released as a SWSH Black Star Promo with artwork by N-DESIGN Inc. and was available in the Deoxys VMAX & VSTAR Battle Box from October 14, 2022. In Japan, it was available in the Deoxys VSTAR & VMAX High-Class Deck. It was reprinted as a Full Art card with artwork by Akira Komayama in the special Crown Zenith expansion, first released in the Japanese VSTAR Universe subset.

This was the first card in the TCG to depict a Dynamaxed Pokémon that cannot Dynamax in the Pokémon games, as Deoxys is not compatible with Pokémon Sword and Shield.

This card features Deoxys in its Defense Forme.
