The third set in the Pokémon Ga-Olé Dash series was released on December 14, 2017. It features 68 standard disks and 3 secret disks. It is the eighth set overall.

Information

The third Dash series set incorporates elements introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, including new Pokémon-specific Z-Moves Searing Sunraze Smash and Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom, which the latest Grade 5 iterations of Solgaleo and Lunala respectively have access to if captured from one of this set's launch courses. Introduced in late December, the Lycanroc Course focused on the new Dusk Form of Lycanroc across several Grades, culminating in a powerful Grade 5 version with access to its new Z-Move Splintered Stormshards. An alternate art version of the Grade 5 disk could also be dispensed randomly when captured in-game as part of a tie in with the Pokémon anime.

A large number of limited courses were also available to play during the duration of this set, some offering players the chance to capture special versions of Pokémon unavailable in other courses. Among the first of these was the Christmas Special Course, which included exclusive versions of Pikachu, Delibird, and Alolan Vulpix complete with festive background designs. Special versions of Arceus and Tyranitar could also be captured on subsequent limited courses. Other limited courses provided an opportunity for players to capture Grade 5 Pokémon from prior sets, including Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Charizard, Rayquaza, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. The Powerful Pokémon One After Another Course, available to play from January 1, 2018, included Grade 5 Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Greninja.

The Fighting Spirit Drink Set, a special one-off item introduced in the previous set, could be purchased once again for 500 Ga-Olé Medals. Once purchased, its effects were active for 8 days. A new feature introduced in this set was Golden Chance (Japanese: ゴールデンチャンス), which can activate randomly during a number of game phases. During Last Chance! or in Get Now mode, Golden Chance can illuminate bushes with a golden light, indicating they have an improved chance of concealing a strong Pokémon. During Get Time!, Golden Chance can turn all Poké Balls on the roulette into Master Balls, guaranteeing the capture of the Pokémon present during this phase.

Trainer and Battle Mode was available to challenge from January 18, 2018, providing 5 new opponents for players to battle. The Trainers included 3 new classes, one of which featured recurring Trainer Eri, once again upgraded from her status as a Popular Idol to a Top Idol. Battle Leader Takade could be challenged upon defeating the other 4 Trainers. Promotional Reshiram or Zekrom disks could be dispensed for an additional ¥100 following a battle with Takade, regardless of the outcome. A 'WINNER' version of either disk could be dispensed if a player successfully defeated all of Takade's Pokémon.

Turtonator and Gallade were added as Support Pokémon from this set. Players registering a Ga-Olé Pass for the first time would automatically receive Turtonator as a Support Pokémon as part of the Pokémon Ga-Olé Welcome Campaign.
