They use complementary {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} of opposite genders in [[Double Battle]]s.

In [[Generation IV]] the pair of opposite-gendered Ace Trainers is called a {{tc|Double Team}}, while in [[Generation VI]] they are called an {{tc|Ace Duo}}.
