Clemont (Japanese: シトロン Citron) is a traveling companion of Ash who made his debut in Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin! along with his younger sister, Bonnie.

History

Clemont and Bonnie were both standing outside the Prism Tower when they watched Ash go inside. Minutes later he was ejected out of it for not having any badges from Kalos when the requirement is at least four. Clemont used his backpack which converted into a giant airbag that provided a soft place for Ash and his Pikachu to land. When he asked what happened, Ash explained the he was from Kanto and had just arrived in Kalos that day. Shortly afterwards, he introduced himself to the new Trainer and was immediately challenged to a battle. He used a Pokémon which he recently caught, Bunnelby. His strategy was to use its powerful, hand-like ears to keep Pikachu at bay. Their battle was interrupted, however, by Team Rocket. Initially, Clemont was impressed by the group's talking TRMeowth ([[{{{2}}} (move)|{{{2}}}]]) but decided to battle against them when he learned that they were an evil organization out to steal Pokémon. After a mysterious Froakie showed up to stop Team Rocket, and got injured in the process, he recommeneded that they all take it to Professor Sycamore's lab. As Ash and Bonnie ran off, he was left to carry all of their bags which caused him to lag behind.

In Lumiose City Pursuit!, Clemont's skills as an inventor came in handy as he used is backpack's "Aipom Arm" to break into the Prism Tower in order to help save a rampaging Garchomp that was under the influence of a malfunctioning device owned by Team Rocket. he and Bonnie were prevented from going in any further when part of the tower collapsed but Ash continued on. The next day, both Clemont and Bonnie decided to accompany Ash on his journey through Kalos.
