Release information

In Japan, a specially stamped reprint of this card, along with five others, was awarded to those who won in Pokémon Center Card Free Battle events held at Pokémon Centers during the Autumn of 2009. Winners could only select one of the six cards available at each event.

Trivia

  • This card is extremely similar to another Chikorita card released previously. This card adds a Resistance of  -20, has 10 more HP, and changes Tackle's cost to   instead of  .
  • Professor Elm's Laboratory can be seen in the background of this card's artwork.
  • The Japanese promotional print has a generic Pokémon Center logo in the bottom right of the illustration window.

Tackle and Razor Leaf are both moves in the Pokémon games that Chikorita can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon SoulSilver.
