Calista (EP234)
Calista (Japanese: ミココ Mikoko) is a character of the day who appeared in Xatu the Future. She is a thirteenth-generation Xatu prophetess from a small village located between Ecruteak City and Mahogany Town. Calista typically announces the weather forecast.
Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket fell through one of Team Rocket's pitfall traps and discovered Calista's civilization. Calista rushed past them on her way to her next prediction ceremony and urged everyone to follow her. There, she predicted it would be a sunny day, but rain began to appear. Concerned, Calista ran back to her secret weather station. She scoured through her data again but was unable to disregard her Xatu's prediction that a great flood would arrive tomorrow. Calista faced a dilemma because she was unsure whether she should alert the town or not. In the end, she told the town that the Xatu had predicted a terrible storm.
As a result of the prediction, the villagers offered their belongings toward her three Xatu and then fled. The Xatu Teleported Calista, Ash, and his friends away from danger. Calista released the Xatu and became a weather reporter for a TV station.

| Calista has three Xatu that can predict the weather. She refers to them by the names Xatu One, Xatu Two, and Xatu Three; the latter is considerably older than the other two. Their predictive abilities helped Calista in her position as a prophetess, as she is able to translate their wing movements into predictions. She uses a pair of fans to communicate with them all.
The Xatu predicted a sunny day, and Calista revealed the prediction to her followers. However, after it began raining, Calista began to have doubts in both her and the Xatu's fortune-telling abilities. Later, she tried again to predict the weather; this time, the Xatu predicted that a flood would occur, and the area was subsequently evacuated. Suddenly, Team Rocket arrived, and Delibird threw three Present attacks at the Xatu, which healed them. Delibird became annoyed and tried again, only to still heal the Xatu. It tried once again, but this time, it sent Team Rocket blasting off. The Xatu informed Calista that their fortune-telling abilities were to be considered as guidance, while every individual must make their own destiny. Calista was grateful for the wise message. Calista predicted the Xatu would Teleport away before the disaster was due to hit, but they assured Calista and the group of their safety. As predicted, the Xatu Teleported everyone to safety before the giant flood swept through the area. Afterwards, the Xatu left to continue their fortune-telling elsewhere.
