Bolt Beak (Japanese: でんげきくちばし Electrical Shock Beak) is a damage-dealing Electric-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of the Fossilized Bird Pokémon.


Pokémon Sword and Shield

Bolt Beak deals damage. If the user attacks before the target, or if the target switches in during the turn that Bolt Beak is used, its base power doubles to 170.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Bolt Beak cannot be selected in a battle.


Games Description
SwSh The user stabs the target with its electrified beak. If the user attacks before the target, the power of this move is doubled.
BDSPLA This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered.
