'''Assunta''' (Japanese: '''サユリ''' ''Sayuri'') is a [[character of the day]] from the [[Pokémon anime]]. She appeared in ''[[EP080|Friends to the End]]'', where she battled [[Ritchie]] in the first six-on-six {{pkmn|battle}} of the [[Indigo Plateau Conference]].

After a fierce battle, both {{pkmn|Trainer}}s ended up with only one Pokémon left.

With her {{p|Ivysaur}}, Assunta was able to overpower Ritchie's [[Sparky|Pikachu]] and win the match. With this win she advanced to the semi-finals.  

It is unknown what happened to Assunta after this point, but the silhouette of the second-place league winner at the end of the episode greatly resembles her, indicating that she made it to the final battle but lost.

Sparky uses {{m|ThunderShock}} but it fails to hit. Ivysaur hits Sparky with a powerful {{m|SolarBeam}} then it uses {{m|Tackle}}, fainting Sparky, giving Assunta the win.
