===Appearance==
Ash Ketchum is a ten years old boy who has black spiky hair with a tuft of sharp hair that comes in an edged point. He wears a cape hat on his head, but without his hat he has a cowlick. He has two jolt-like markings underneath his eyes. He is lean with a firm fitted posture.
Over time, Ash Ketchum's appearance changes, as the anime series progress. His eyes which are the pupil and the iris color were not visibly shown in the {{Beginning of the series}} to the {{Diamond & Pearl series}}. It was until then in the {{Black & White series}} his pupil was shown and his iris color appeared to be brown. His eyebrows were black, thin, and sharp to the point through the {{ Original series}} to the {{X&Y series}} until in the {{Sun & Moon series}} and the {{New Series}} his eyebrows became thick and dull. His jolt - like markings changes shape and size as in they were slanted to sloped, long to short, small to big, and narrow to wide.
Ash wore the same outfit in the {{Original series}}. Then in the {{Advance Generation series}} he started wearing a different outfit and soon wearing different outfits throughout different series.
