In [[BW032]], Scraggy meets a wild {{p|Cottonee}} who tries to play with him. Like with every new Pokémon he meets, he tries to attack it but is distracted by its {{m|Cotton Spore}}. He eventually befriends the Cottonee after it was shot down by a female Cottonee it was trying to court. Scraggy helps it train in order to prove to its love interest that it is a capable battler.
