Ho-Oh Descends to the Bell Tower
Would stocking up on Dusk Balls be a better strategy to catch Ho-Oh, but at night instead? The first location you can buy Dusk Balls is from the Blackthorn City Poké Mart. The battle will take place outside on the roof of the Bell Tower but I am unsure if the game will allow the Dusk Ball to be at a 3.5× catch rate instead of a 1× catch rate, even at night. If the Dusk Ball works better in this situation, it would make the Ultra Ball strategy of 2× catch rate a worse strategy. Buying Dusk Balls is more cost effective than buying Ultra Balls if you are going to catch Ho-Oh at night.
