The main new change is that Barry's {{p|Munchlax}} has evolved into a {{p|Snorlax}}, which should help make it so Snorlax is counted as seen in the Sinnoh Dex that will contribute to getting the National Pokédex. Snorlax can be easily brought down by a powerful {{type|Fighting}} attack such as {{m|Cross Chop}} or {{m|Close Combat}}. Other than that the same weaknesses as before can be used to defeat the other members of his team. Afterwards Barry will leave convinced he is not ready yet if he keeps losing like this, but vows to be the one to defeat you.
Talk to the receptionist and once she confirms you have the eight Sinnoh badges you can then face the Elite Four, but just remember there is no turning back once you pass through the doorway.

For dealing with Aaron's team, his {{p|Yanmega}} can heighten its evasiveness with {{m|Double Team}} and can raise's it's speed through its special ability, {{a|Speed Boost}}. Take it down before it becomes a problem. {{m|Aerial Ace}} can help if it gets too hectic. Both {{p|Heracross}} and {{p|Vespiquen}} can counter {{type|Flying}}s, but a powerful Flying-type move can easily bring them down. For {{p|Scizor}}, a {{type|Fire}} would be best. For his strongest Pokémon which is {{p|Drapion}}, unless if you use a {{type|Ground}} which is what it is weakest against (though it does have {{m|Ice Fang}} to counter Ground-types) then use a {{type|Steel}} like Scizor or {{p|Steelix}} which are resistant to its moveset.

For dealing with Bertha's team if you have a {{t|Grass}} or {{type|Water}} that is quick then you should have an easy time. {{p|Whiscash}} has a 4x weakness to Grass-types, {{p|Golem}}, {{p|Rhyperior}} have a 4x weakness to Grass and Water-types and {{p|Gliscor}} has a 4x weakness to {{type|Ice}}s. Exploit these weaknesses or use Pokémon that have useful moves from those types such as {{m|Ice Beam}} or {{m|Surf}}. Her {{p|Hippowdon}} which is the only single type should not be much of a problem. While Gliscor, Golem, and Rhyperior may have a lot of moves that can counter several of their weaknesses, but if you exploit the weak Speed and Sp. Defense stats of Bertha's team then she won't be much of a problem.

Flint will thank you for helping [[Volkner]] earlier and then face you in a battle. Be careful when his Pokémon use {{m|Sunny Day}} as it can raise their Fire-type moves and weaken the power of Water-type moves. His first Pokémon {{p|Houndoom}} should be taken down as quick as possible to help give you an early lead before Sunny Day is used. {{p|Flareon}} should not be much of a problem thought be careful with {{m|Overheat}} since it is very powerful when first used, though continued use will weaken it. Also if it used {{m|Will-O-Wisp}} it can weaken your Pokémon's physical moves and cause minor damage each turn unless if it is treated. {{p|Rapidash}}'s speed can be a hassle and don't let it use {{m|SolarBeam}} especially if Sunny Day is in effect. It could also paralyze your Pokémon with {{m|Bounce}}.
{{p|Infernape}} is strong and can counter Water and Flying-types. Unless if you have one with a good enough move from it's type, then use Ground-types. His strongest Pokémon {{p|Magmortar}} has a pretty strong moveset to counter it's weaknesses but is slow so a faster Pokémon with a strong Water, Rock or Ground-type moves could easily take it out.

For this battle, a Pokémon like Scizor would really be useful. When dealing with {{p|Mr. Mime}}, it can use barrier moves like {{m|Reflect}} or {{m|Light Screen}} to halve out the power of your moves. {{p|Espeon}} can counter {{type|Dark}}s with {{m|Signal Beam}} and {{p|Alakazam}} can counter Steel-types with {{m|Focus Blast}} and their high Speed and Sp. Cynthia will thank you for your help on Mt. Coronet and in the Distortion World earlier before facing you. Cynthia does not follow a specific type so this battle will be trouble if your Pokémon's levels are not high enough. {{p|Spiritomb}} has no direct weaknesses, though a Steel-type can be quite effective. Scizor will have an easy time handling it since X-Scissor would be a smart choice to use, especially if it knows {{m|Swords Dance}}. {{p|Roserade}} shouldn't be that much of a hassle if you get it down quick with Fire or Flying types. It would be recommended to use an {{type|Electric}} against {{p|Milotic}} since it has Ice Beam to counter Grass-types. Using a physical Electric-type move like {{m|Thunder Fang}} or {{m|ThunderPunch}} should be effective given its weaker defense stat and that it can't counter the damage of those moves with {{m|Mirror Coat}}.
Use Fire, Ground, or Fighting-type moves to bring down {{p|Lucario}}. Be careful of it's speed and ability to use Stone Edge. {{p|Togekiss}} can also be brought down by an Electric-type but be careful of its higher defenses despite it's slow speed. {{p|Garchomp}} can be a serious problem given its high attack and speed. Make sure to place a status condition if you can like Paralysis since it will be a big help. It may have a 4x weakness to Ice-types, but it is capable of countering it's weaknesses, so you may have to use a Water-type with an Ice-type move. If you can get it to use {{m|Giga Impact}}, then exploit the free turn while you have the chance since the situation will get worse the longer this match drags on.
After the battle Cynthia will praise you on the conviction you have with your Pokémon to become Champion. She'll then take you to the Hall of Fame where Professor Rowan will join you and all the Pokémon on your team are recorded into the Hall of Fame.
