Appendix:Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky walkthrough/Chapter 20

On the Rainbow Stoneship, to Temporal Tower!

You and your partner are still mourning over Grovyle, as the Time Gears simply lay there. Your partner gets tearful once more and picks up the Time Gears, but after this you still don't get moving. Suddenly a loud noise wakes you up--the Rainbow Stoneship is activating! Hurriedly, the two of you run up the stairs and stand on the Rainbow Stoneship, which is flashing colors of the rainbow (hence its name). A flame-like ring surrounds you and the Rainbow Stoneship suddenly shoots up, leaving a rainbow trailing behind it.

Once you get off, you'll notice a Kangaskhan Rock, which once again means that you can prepare. Your partner talks about how Grovyle said to reach the top of the tower...Grovyle...and then tells you to hurry up and get ready, since this is no time to dawdle. Get ready and enter the Temporal Tower!

Temporal Tower

Very hard and annoying, especially there's plenty of Monster houses on the map. Being a tower, however, the stairs aren't too hard to find, however there is plenty of floors. The main type here is either Steel or Psychic.

Once you finish this dungeon, you'll reach a waypoint. There is a Kangaskhan Rock over here as well, however there is no way you can go and gather items, you can only save. This means, before entering Temporal Tower, try gathering all of the items you need. After saving, enter the Temporal Spire.

Temporal Spire

Like the previous one, this dungeon is very hard and annoying. This one is even more hard and annoying since there is two pseudo-legendaries here (Salamence and Metagross) all knowing powerful moves. Monster houses are quite common here. The main type here is Steel.

Temporal Pinnacle

Once you arrive, it simply looks like there is nothing there at all. Suddenly there is a flash of lightning, causing your partner to look up and tell you there are red clouds spinning above. Then, there is suddenly a tremor, like there was when you entered the tower. Your partner gets worried, afraid that Temporal Tower was already collapsing. You notice something at the very end of Temporal Pinnacle and move slightly closer.

When you look at it, there appears to be five slots engraved into the wall. You think for a moment, trying to remember...and then it hits you--the Time Gears!

You turn to your partner and mention this, who gets extremely confused at the thought of five slots. Then it also comes back to your partner, who instantly goes up to the wall and attempts to put the Time Gears in--however this is all stopped by another flash of lightning.

Dialga

After the lightning cleared, all of the Temporal Pinnacle appeared to get dark. Your partner gets up from being knocked out, wondering why it is all dark. And then you here a roaring sound that sounds slightly familiar...it can't be...it's Primal Dialga!

Primal Dialga is very upset that people are trying to intrude upon his home, to which your partner stubbornly responds that they aren't trying to damage Temporal Tower, but trying to prevent it from collapsing. Primal Dialga, in this state, doesn't believe you, and continues to hurt you, causing your partner to get slightly fearful.

You, however, on this mission before, have no fear at all, and is willing to fight Dialga if that's what he wants. According to you, Dialga isn't fully consumed by the darkness yet, so there may be a chance of defeating Primal Dialga. As such, you tell your partner this, who once again thinks your mad but believes in you. As such, you begin to fight.

Boss Battle

As the main final fight of story mode, it is very hard. During this whole game, it may be wise to save up on Reviver Seeds and get them for your aid now. His Roar of Time is very powerful and may knock you out, however it makes him pause. If you do not die, then use this pause to your advantage.

To avoid getting hit by his Roar of Time completely and make the power rebound on him, try using Mirror Move, which if you are a Torchic you can learn. If you are a Riolu, try learning as many Fighting moves as you can for this moment or you can learn Copycat so you can also use Roar of Time, and if you are a Phanpy then use Earthquake which will cause major damage.

As most Grass types are known for, there is many status problems you can use, like Sleep Powder or Stun Spore. If you are a Turtwig, who can't learn Sleep Powder or Stun Spore, use Leech Seed to your advantage, as it constantly causes him to lose HP and restore yours. Treecko can't learn Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, or Leech Seed, so use Screech to lower his Defense and, if you find the TM Brick Break, teach it to Treecko to counter.

Here is a list of what all of the starter Pokémon can counter Dialga with (yes, he's that hard):

• Bulbasaur: Sleep Powder, Sunny Day and Synthesis to heal. Also, can learn Rock Smash.
• Chikorita: PoisonPowder to continually drain his HP, Light Screen to lower damage of Roar of Time.
• Treecko: Screech and Brick Break.
• Turtwig: Leech Seed, Light Screen to lower damage of Roar of Time.

• Charmander: Flamethrower (to hit from a distance) Dragon Claw (to do neutral damage) or Brick Break (to do super-effective damage).
• Cyndaquil: Eruption (use at beginning of battle) and Dig.
• Torchic: Flamethrower (to hit from a distance) and Mirror Move to make the power of Roar of Time rebound.
• Chimchar: Brick Break, Dig, and Flamethrower.
• Vulpix: Confuse Ray, Will-O-Wisp, and Flamethrower (to hit from a distance).

• Squirtle: Dig/Hidden Power Ground, Hydro Pump, Brick Break, and Ice Beam/Blizzard.
• Totodile: Superpower, Aqua Tail, and Ice Fang.
• Mudkip: Hydro Pump, Dig, Ice Beam/Blizzard, and Rock Smash.
• Piplup: Ice Beam, Brick Break, and Hydro Pump.

• Pikachu: Brick Break.
• Shinx: Light Screen to lower damage of Roar of Time, and Scary Face.

• Riolu: Fighting moves and Copycat (to use Roar of Time).

• Phanpy: Ground moves.

• Eevee: Dig.
• Skitty: Wake-Up Slap.
• Meowth: Dig and Torment (so he can't use Roar of Time twice). (Only for partners.)
• Munchlax: Brick Break (partner only).

This applies for heroes and partners alike.

Aside from Reviver Seeds, also have some Oran Berries in stock if all of your Reviver Seeds get used. Dialga also has Metal Claw and Dragon Claw, both of which are very powerful moves.

Victory is Ours!

After (finally) defeating Dialga, you'll be allowed to go past him and place the Time Gears in Temporal Tower. When this happens, Temporal Tower stops shaking and time begins to flow right again. Suddenly, when you thought Dialga was knocked out...Dialga is back up!

For a split second, your partner thinks that he's going to battle you again, not long before he/she realizes that Dialga isn't Primal Dialga anymore; he seems to have returned to his normal state. Dialga begins to explain how time begins to flow again, and correctly...and he shows you and your partner amazing images of time, and how no one has to be worried now that the world is saved because of Team ___.

Goodbye, Partner

As you walk out of Temporal Tower, your legs seem a bit heavy...you notice that you're going to disappear soon, and that your partner was soon to be left alone. Your partner wonders what's wrong, and how come you're moving so slowly, however you shrug it off. But you can't shrug it off for long...a strange light appears around you, and your partner wonders what's wrong with you.

Now you have to reveal everything...

You tell your partner that when they fixed Temporal Tower, the Pokémon and people of the future will disappear. How you've been hiding it from your partner ever since you found out from Grovyle...how Dusknoir and Grovyle are disappearing right now. Suddenly, the light overcomes you and you say goodbye to your partner...you'll never forget him/her.

Your partner is teary-eyed, however despite this it never cried fully...until now.

The World is Saved

Your partner stops crying for a while (however he/she is still teary-eyed). He/she notices that the Rainbow Stoneship has begun activating and that he/she must get there quickly. As such, he/she runs over to the Rainbow Stoneship and looks at Temporal Tower. It's still severely damaged, however Team ___ has stopped it from completely collapsing.

He/she thinks about how far away he's/she's getting from Temporal Tower...and you...

Credits

Credits will roll. You can't skip it.

Post-Story

The game shows a scene of your partner heading back to the guild, full of remorse. He/she steps on the grate, waiting for Diglett to call out, however once Diglett notices the footprint he tells everyone and they all come out to greet him/her.

Back inside the guild, it shows your partner telling the fantastic story of how he/she (and you) defeated Dialga. Additionally, your partner is also telling the Pokémon who reside in Treasure Town. Your partner told the story of how he/she did it whenever he/she could, as it was a fantastic story that definitely had to be shared with all.

Reappearance

A few months later, your partner was getting used to you not being there. As such, he/she went to the beach in order to see the beautiful sight of Krabby doing Bubble, floating along the horizon.

Your partner can't seem to remember the last time he/she saw it...until he/she remembers you, and how he/she saved you from being knocked out, and it goes through all the memories within all of the chapters. Bidoof comes and tells your partner that dinner's ready and how he/she--what?! Surprisingly, your partner is down at Bidoof's feet, crying his/her eyes out.

It then shows Dialga, who is watching your partner cry at a bewildered but kind Bidoof's feet. Dialga then thinks about how much it means to you and your partner...ROAR!

Soon, the same flash of light that overcame you when you disappeared appeared on the side of the beach that your partner first met you. And then...you reappear!

Bidoof looks confusingly at you and tells your partner about this, who suddenly sees you and cries (now) tears of joy, while Bidoof gets very happy for you and your partner, on how you were reunited.

The Master of All things Bad?!

During the "next" morning briefing, Chatot explains to you and your partner that they're going to be graduating from the guild. You and your partner are extremely nonplussed, wondering what that means. Chatot speaks happily, saying they're going leave the guild because of all of the wonderful work they've done.

Corphish begins to complain, saying that he's been at the guild much longer than Team ___, asking why he can't have a go. Apparently, it's because you and your partner have saved the world and deserve to be allowed to graduate. Wigglytuff mentions that Loudred once took the graduation exam, but failed miserably, embarrassing and upsetting Loudred.

Wigglytuff also says they will be exploring Mystifying Forest, a forest that, at the end you will find Luminous Spring, a place for Pokémon to evolve. At the end of the dungeon, there will be a boss that is so horrible he is "the master of all things bad", surprising you and your partner. You try to ask Loudred, but apparently the experience of failing is so vivid to him he ignores you.

Treasure Town

Chatot will go and tell you to get prepared for the exam. As you walk into Treasure Town square, it is implied that Ursaring and Teddiursa are going to go and play in Mystifying Forest, which surprises you and your partner as you thought there was a boss that was so bad he is the "master of all things bad".

Ursaring and Teddiursa get extremely confused, saying they've seen nothing of the sort, and they leave you there hanging. Your partner suddenly snaps out of it and says the two of you really need to hurry up if both of you want to graduate. Get ready and head off to Mystifying Forest!

Mystifying Forest

A very hard dungeon (even though there are Pokémon that are a much lower level than you). With 14 floors, as well as a very odd weather condition called Cloudy, which weakens every move type except Normal. Complete this dungeon and you'll find a surprise at the top!

Wigglytuff Guild will only be found here the first time. Celebi and Darkrai will not appear the first time.

What?! Wigglytuff's Guild is serving as the master of all things bad? You would think it was an evil legendary Pokémon, but whatever. This works as this is your graduation exam.

All of the guild members are fighting (with the exception of Bidoof, who is simply keeping watch for you). This is exceptionally hard as neither of the partner Pokémon you bring along can help you; it's two against eight. Focus on hitting the "minor" guild members first, then Chatot, then Wigglytuff. All in all, this isn't too tough.

When you defeat all of them, the guild will run off and you continue to follow Ursaring and Teddiursa. Apparently you're in some kind of spring. In the middle, there is a strange bluish light forming in the middle and glowing...Teddiursa steps in and evolves into Ursaring. Then your partner will try to go in, but can't. Oh well, just head back to the guild, you'll still need your reward!

Congratulations!

When you get back at the guild, everyone at the guild will cheer for you and reward you generously...$10,000, a few items, and an extra large Treasure Bag!

Even though you have graduated from the guild, you're still connected to it in some way, as you can still pick up jobs there.

After doing this, you have completed the main storyline of Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky...however, there is still Post-Story to complete!
