[[Captain Stern]] mentioned that he'd found an underwater cave here while exploring in his [[Submarine Explorer 1|submarine]]. [[Team Aqua]] has now breached that same cavern with their stolen sub.


Fly to [[Pacifidlog Town]] and {{m|Surf}} east to {{rt|131|Hoenn}}. The next trick is to find the entrance to the [[Sky Pillar]]— it looks like the entrance to a cave. Once you've found it, go up the stairs and exit the tunnel. Wallace will arrive and say that he's opened the locked door to the tower. Enter it.

===Seafloor Cavern===
The long-forgotten [[Seafloor Cavern]] can only be reached from an underwater cave in the depths of {{rt|128|Hoenn}}. [[Archie]] has gone to great lengths to breach the seal that has protected this place for ages, in the hope of awakening the super-ancient Pokémon rumored to dwell here. He believes this Pokémon has the power to bring about the great future he desires, but the risks seem far too great.

The first floor is very straightforward— go through the doorway and up the stairs. The second floor is also obvious.
 
The third floor is where things get slightly trickier. Go around the central hole in the floor to the stairs that aren't blocked by rocks, up to the fourth floor. You need to ride your Mach Bike across the southwestern-most [[Hole#Generation III|cracked tile]], but ''fall down the next one over'', back to the third floor. (Look at the pictures carefully if this is confusing.) Now, go up the stairs directly north of you, and then go up the westernmost stairs on the fourth floor. The fifth floor is simple again— just run around to the next set of stairs, and you're on top of the Sky Pillar!

When you arrive, you will see an amazing sight: Rayquaza shows up in the midst of the battle and sends Groudon and Kyogre away. Surf to the bit of land outside the Gym and speak to [[Archie]] and [[Maxie]], who realize and laugh at their mistakes. They then depart to return the [[Legendary artifacts#Colored orbs|Red Orb and Blue Orb]] to [[Mt. Pyre]].

Once in the final Gym you will find a giant ice block puzzle. To solve this puzzle you must step on every ice tile once to open a staircase, and you can only proceed by making sure the last tile you stand on is right next to the staircase. If you step on an ice tile twice it causes it to crumble and sent you to the basement where the Gym's Trainers are located. There are three puzzles in all, with the next puzzle being more difficult and with more Trainers located below that section. It is possible to beat the Gym leader without facing the Trainers, though you could still challenge them if you wish.
 
The first puzzle is easy with starting from the staircase (↑1, ←1, ↑1, →2, ↑1, ←1).
 
The second puzzle requires a little more skill (↑1, ←3, ↑2, →2, ↓1, →2, ↓1, →2, ↑2, ←3).

After going through the third tedious ice tile puzzle you should be right at Juan, his most powerful Pokémon is {{p|Kingdra}}. What makes Kingdra frustrating is that it can use {{m|Double Team}} along with {{m|Rest}} so try to knock it out quickly with a {{type|Dragon}} move. An interesting note is that the only [[move]] on Juan's entire team that can damage a {{p|Shedinja}} is his {{p|Luvdisc}}'s {{m|Sweet Kiss}}. If the rest of your team is strong enough to knock out the Luvdisc, having a Shedinja may very well guarantee victory, as long as its moves don't run out of [[PP]].

This room features two boulders that hinder travel. Go northwest and clear the way with {{m|Rock Smash}}, then use {{m|Strength}} to move the first boulder southward. Head east and move the second boulder eastward. At this point, there are two paths forward. The northwest doorway leads directly to the southeast part of Room 4. The southeast doorway leads through Rooms 2 and 3 to the southwest part of Room 4.


Besides {{p|Tropius}} and {{p|Tentacruel}}, you might consider to {{p|Claydol}} as another excellent [[HM slave]] because it is able to use [[Dig]] and [[Teleport]] (through from [[Move Reminder]]) as well as some HMs. However, maybe you may reconsider spending Dig (obtained in {{rt|114|Hoenn}}) on Claydol, due it is a unique TM, which can't be seen in action unless any Pokémon learns it naturally (by level).
====Room 2====
Head south to a fork in the road. Both tunnels lead into the next room, but the western tunnel serves as a shortcut.


If in any case, you decide to get these three Pokémon on your party, including three together are able to learn 12 of the 14 [[field move]] (HMs/TMs) that there in the game.

The doorway to the south merely leads back to the entrance. Instead, go through the northeast doorway.

Once you enter use {{m|Surf}} to head over to the waterfall, then use the move {{m|Waterfall}} to get to the 2F of Meteor Falls. You will quickly see the ladder that will take you to the inner cave of the 1F.

Follow the path and then head south to the lower ladder to find yourself back in the main area of the 1F on a special ledge that has {{TM|23|Iron Tail}}.


After heading back, follow the path to the back to other part of the 2F which has an incredible amount of ledges along with the only two Trainers in Meteor Falls. At the top of the ledges carefully head down them and aim towards the left side of the rocks seen in the path and without triggering the ledge near it, head to the ladder to return to inner cave of the 1F.  
====Room 8====
There are a dozen boulders here to block progress. Start off by moving the south-central boulder one step northward and the other two southern-most boulders farther apart. Push the first boulder one step westward, then shove the middle boulder one step northward. Move the boulders on the left and right farther apart, then push both the north-northwest and north-northeast boulders to the north wall. Finally, push the middle boulder to either side to reach the doorway.


Use surf to travel to the hidden back room of the 1F to find {{TM|02|Dragon Claw}}. This room is also the only place to find a wild {{p|Bagon}}.
====Deepest Room====
Go east to find {{TM|26|Earthquake}} on the room's highest level before continuing along the downward-sloping corridor. At its end, you finally catch up to [[Team Aqua]]'s driven leader, [[Archie]]. Like [[Maxie]] did with {{p|Groudon}}, Archie has discovered the fabled resting place of another super-ancient Pokémon, {{p|Kyogre}}, and stands ready to restore the creature with his stolen {{key|III|Red Orb}}. With his plan so close to fruition, he's not about to let anything stop him, and drags you into battle.


With Bagon, it is necessary to catch at least one of them, for a [[trade]] in [[Pacifidlog Town]]. Also wild Bagon, have a 5% chance of holding {{DL|Evolution-inducing held item|Dragon Scale}} which causes {{p|Seadra}} to evolve into {{p|Kingdra}} when [[trade]]d holding a Dragon Scale.

Even defeated, Archie reaffirms his intent to revive the super-ancient Pokémon. Holding the {{key|III|Red Orb}} high, he finally succeeds in awakening {{p|Kyogre}}. Like {{p|Groudon}} before it, the leviathan flees its resting place, evading its would-be captors. Just then, Archie receives an urgent call from his subordinates outside. The great energy generated by the legendary creature has altered and intensified [[Hoenn]]'s weather as expected, but to dangerous, unforeseen levels. The weather's dramatic shift to heavy rain influences any battles on the region's east side. The massive downpours boost all Water moves and weaken all Fire moves. [[Maxie]] and a pair of his Grunts enter a moment later. He condemns [[Team Aqua]]'s actions and tries to reason with Archie, who counters by criticizing [[Team Magma]] for disturbing Groudon.

The group returns to the surface, where they witness the extreme weather firsthand. Kyogre's power has surpassed expectations, forcing Archie to grudgingly agree to work with Maxie to set things right. Once the others leave, {{steven}} swoops down to assess the situation. He informs you that the oppressive weather seems to originate in [[Sootopolis City]] to the northwest. He's headed there to investigate, and suggests you do the same.


The way to the Pokémon League begins on {{rt|128|Hoenn}}. Whereas the last time you were here, you {{m|Dive|dove}} [[underwater]] to fight [[Team Aqua]] in the [[Seafloor Cavern]], this time you're just going to keep swimming east towards [[Ever Grande City]].
