'''Alternate World Ash''' (Japanese: '''{{tt|平行世界|へいこうせかい}}のサトシ''' ''Alternate World Satoshi'') is a recurring character who first appeared in ''[[JN089|The Gates of Warp!]]''. He is {{Ash}}'s counterpart from the {{pkmn|multiverse#In the anime|Alternate World}}.

[[JN090|In the next episode]], Alternate World Ash hugged [[Ash's Pikachu]] and revealed that his own Pikachu had [[Devolution|devolved]] into Pichu and then reverted back into a [[Pokémon Egg]] due to the clash between {{OBP|Dialga|recurring}} and {{OBP|Palkia|recurring}} distorting space and time. Together, the group traveled to [[Sandgem Town]], where they met [[Goh]], {{an|Dawn}}, [[Alternate World Dawn]] and [[Professor Rowan#Alternate World Professor Rowan|Alternate World Professor Rowan]] at the [[Pokémon Center]].

On Professor Rowan's suggestion, all of them decided to head to [[Spear Pillar]] on [[Mount Coronet]] to stop Dialga and Palkia. At the Spear Pillar, [[Alternate World Team Rocket]] revealed that they were the ones responsible for Dialga and Palkia's battle, all thanks to the [[Red Chain]], which contains the power of {{p|Arceus}}. Alternate Ash and Ash tried to break the Red Chain, while, Goh, Dawn, Chloe, and their Alternate World counterparts battled Team Rocket. A surge of Dialga's power blasted Alternate Team Rocket off through a gate and turned Ash, his friends, and their counterparts into toddlers, and reverted all of their Pokémon into Eggs as a result.  

Ash decided that they should send out their feelings to Dialga and Palkia to make them stop, and Alternate World Ash suggested they do the same with Arceus as well, since it was the one who created Dialga and Palkia, and must have the power to return everything to normal. Reacting to the group's desperate pleas, a shining image of Arceus appeared from the Red Chain and made it disappear, finally stopping Dialga and Palkia's fight. The two [[Legendary Pokémon]] immediately started undoing the results of their battle and sent the group back to the Alternate World's Canalave City, where they returned to their normal ages. With everything back to normal, Alternate World Ash bid farewell to Ash and his friends, who returned back to their own world.

Alternate World Ash's speech patterns are more meek and polite in comparison to his counterpart, similar to [[Alternate World Dawn]]. But just like the [[Mirror Ash]], Alternate World Ash is a bit insecure and tends to cry a lot.

|desc={{p|Pikachu}} is Ash's first known Pokémon. He was used to compete in [[Pokémon battle]]s before [[Devolution|devolving]] into a {{p|Pichu}} and subsequently, an {{pkmn|Egg}}. In ''[[JN090|Showdown at the Gates of Warp!]]'', after {{p|Arceus}} stopped the fight between {{OBP|Dialga|recurring}} and {{OBP|Palkia|recurring}}, the {{pkmn|category|Temporal and Spatial Pokémon}} repaired the distortions their fighting had caused and restored all the devolved Pokémon back to normal.
