The 2019 McDonald's promotional Pokémon toys were a set of toys distributed in McDonald's restaurants in 2019 and early 2020. Each toy came with one of twelve TCG cards from the McDonald's Collection 2019.
Promotions were held at different times depending upon country:
- United States: October 15 - November 11, 2019
- United Kingdom: January 1 - January 28, 2020
Happy Readers
In the United Kingdom, in addition to the toy and trading card, McDonald's runs the "Happy Readers" programme. A voucher redeemable at WHSmith stores (in Great Britain) or Easons stores (in Northern Ireland), for a copy of either Pokémon First Partner Basics or Pokémon Alola Region Beginners Handbook for £1, was printed on the Happy Meal box and it was also possible to get one of these books as a free Kindle eBook from Amazon during the promotional period.[1]
