Standard formats

The 2012-13 Modified format (informally called BW-on) is the current Modified format used for the Trading Card Game's Play! Pokémon Organized Play division and in most sanctioned tournaments worldwide.

Play period

The 2012-13 Modified format was announced on June 15, 2012, rotating all expansions from the HeartGold & SoulSilver, or LEGEND, era. The Call of Legends expansion was also rotated.
