ATTACK (TCG)

In the trading card game (tcg), the attacks are really important. Each Pokémon has some attacks. When it's your turn, you can choose an attack.

Requirements

To do an attack, you will have to have some energy cards attached to the pokémon that you want. The energies that are required are drawed on the left of the Name and Description. The types of energy cards that exists to this point are:

-Darkness Energy -Fighting Energy -Fire Energy -Grass Energy -Lightning Energy -Metal Energy -Psychic Energy -Water Energy

The white symbol whith a star on it means that any of the energy cards can be used.

Name and Description

At the right of the energies that are required for the attack is the name of the attack and sometimes a description of it. The name is writed in bold and the description is written normally.

Example:

Whirlwind If your opponent has any Benched Pokémon, he or she chooses 1 of them and switches it with the Defending Pokémon.(Do the damage before switching the Pokémon.

Damage

At the right of the name and the description, there is a number sometimes with a + or a x. this the damage done to the opponent (if no + or x are there).

If a + is after the number, it's sign that this number can be more powerful than the number written, but not less powerful. Please refer to the description of the attack, it will say you what to do special.

Example:

  Rage 10+

Does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each damage counter on Bagon.

If a x is after the number, it's sign that this number can be more powerful than the number written, or less powerful. Please refer to the description of the attack, it will say you what to do special.

Example:

Doubleslap 20x Flip 2 coins this attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.

And, finally, sometimes there is no number at all. It means that this attack has an effect but don't damge the HPs of the opponent.

Example:

  Stone Throw

Choose 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage to each of them. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
