Gardenia's Turtwig (Japanese: ナタネのナエトル Natane's Naetle) is Gardenia's main Pokémon. It is voiced by Billy Beach in English and Miyako Itō in Japanese.

It was first seen in The Grass-Type is Always Greener where it battled against Ash's Turtwig and Staravia. Turtwig was proven to be both able to move at amazing speeds and very powerful. It was untouchable by any of Ash's Pokémon and won the battle. Turtwig wasn't seen again until A Secret Sphere of Influence where it helped protect the Adamant Orb.

It then appeared again in A Grass Menagerie! where it battled in Ash's gym battle against Gardenia. Though Turtwig was incredibly fast, it was defeated by Ash's Staravia and Turtwig.
