Trivia
- Cryogonal has the highest Special Defense of all non-legendary Template:Type2 Pokémon.
- Cryogonal is the only genderless Pokémon, other than Mew, that can learn Attract. It is unknown why this is the case, given that Attract fails when used by or on a genderless Pokémon.
- Cryogonal is the only Pokémon besides Porygon that is able to learn Sharpen.
Origin
Cryogonal's appearance seems to be based on both snowflakes and ice crystals. The ability to trap prey in ice crystals may be a reference to Hrimthurs, Nordic giants who were made of ice, who also have this ability.
Name origin
Cryogonal derives from the prefix cryo- and the suffix -gonal. Freegeo may be derived from "freeze" or "frigid" and "geometrical".
