Boomerang is a cable network owned by Time Warner, operating as a sister station to Cartoon Network.

Line-up

Boomerang is well-known for airing many cartoons that came from the 1900s, as well as older episodes of currently-running series, Pokémon among them.

History

Boomerang was made shortly after the introduction of Cartoon Network in 1992. However, it was only a block for the network, and didn't become a channel until 2000. During its time as a block, it lasted for only a couple of hours.

With Pokémon

Boomerang's history with Pokémon began when it first aired the original series in 2007, and began to re-air it in March of 2010. Currently, the channel has started airing episodes of Pokémon: The Johto Journeys as of December 2010. Episodes are currently airing at 6:30 PM on weekdays[1].

Trivia

  • Boomerang's name comes from the boomerang, a tool that is known for always coming back when thrown.
  • This is because Boomerang shows many older cartoons that are coming back to air, much like when boomerangs come back when thrown.
