While Ash and his friends were in a maze, a Drilbur popped out of the ground and a Braviary flew from the sky. Shortly afterward, their two Trainers came out from their hiding place. Soran told the group that they were able to easily defeat the Subway Bosses in a Tag Battle. Afterwards, they engaged in a Tag Battle with Ash and Cilan, which they eventually lost. Cilan later helped the two brothers each catch a new Pokémon.
