Game Freak was founded in 1989 by Satoshi Tajiri as a games magazine.

They branched into development creating such low-key games as Quinty.

They released Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in 27th Febuary 1996, forever changing video games.

The company currently employs a staff of 45.
