Trivia
- This episode's dub title is a reference to the railway term, Whistle Stop.
- This is the second episode so far to air on the day of a new year, the first being The Fourth Round Rumble!.
- When James summons his Victreebel, his speech when he gets sucked inside is, at first glance, unintelligible gibberish. However, when the clip is played backwards, it's actually a backwards-masked sound byte of Eric Stuart saying, "Leo Burnett and 4Kids are the devil!". The line is aimed at Burnett since he essentially invented the idea of using animation as a vehicle for merchandising, which 4Kids had also adopted.
Errors
- In one scene where Jessie is holding the whistle, a line can be seen in the middle of her chest.
